Whitney Port takes the Hills to "The City"

   

It's Official. MTV has confirmed the buzz that Whitney Port is indeed getting her own reality show called simply "The City". The show will be filmed in NYC and will follow Port as she moves from L.A. to the big apple and begins work for fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg.

From a fashion perspective I am really excited to see the ins and outs at DVF, but considering the actual fashion bits on the Hills tend to be filler, we will see how central this story line will be.

Port has also never been one to rumple feathers on the Hills, which does not a great reality show make. I'm going to assume the folks at MTV have kitted her out with some outrageous party girl  'pals'. Will she still be the peacekeeper or will we see a whole new side of Whitney? 

In a statement about the new venture Port says “I am thrilled and honored to be in New York City. Not only working for one of the most renowned fashion designers, Diane Von Furstenberg, but to be able to mature as a young woman both professionally and personally.”

The show is scheduled to air in early 2009.

Eye Shadow for Dummies
